Train and Wagon Rides

What's the best scene at Santa's Magical Kingdom?  It's the look of awe and wonder on children's faces as they board Santa's very own train for their magical journey through millions of shimmering lights! Old Fashioned Holiday Wagon Rides are also available and offer guests an open air adventure with a 360 degree unobstructed view of all the incredible sights and sounds of the Kingdom. Available as group or private wagon rides, both offer fun and memorable ways to celebrate the season with friends and family!

When you book a wagon or train ride for 2 or more persons, YOUR VEHICLE ADMISSION FEE TO THE KINGDOM IS WAIVED!  Plus, your reservation is taken in-house, by our own staff of elves so there is no additional booking/service fee for train or wagon rides at Santa's Magical Kingdom.

Major Changes to our Ride Schedule Due to the Recent Covid Restrictions

In the past on our busiest nights, wagon riders took a bus from a nearby parking lot to eliminate the wait in line to enter the show. Since riding in groups on a bus would violate the recent Covid restrictions, we regret that we will not be able to offer wagon rides at all on the following nights of this season: 12/5, 12/12, 12/18, 12/19, 12/20, 12/21, 12/22, and 12/23.

We are truly sorry for this change in scheduling! We will do our best to set up a ride for you on other evenings. If you were planning to ride the wagon on one of these busy nights, we do not recommend switching to a car on those nights due to the historically heavy traffic and waiting times in line that guests may experience on those specific nights.

WHERE TO GO FOR YOUR RIDE:

Please drive into the Kingdom as though you’re driving through the show in your vehicle. When you pass through the 1st tunnel of lights and reach the Gingerbread House on the right, inform the team member there that you have reservations for a train or wagon ride and they’ll direct you to the parking lot.

Once parked, please go to the wagon desk on veranda in front of Kringle’s General Store to check in for your ride. On slower nights, you may also check-in at the front desk at Kringle’s Store.

PLEASE NOTE:

1) You must be on time for your ride. In consideration of all our guests, the rides must stay on schedule. Therefore, we cannot hold rides to wait for late passengers and there is no guarantee that there will be availability for your group on a later ride that evening.

2) A few years ago, we expanded the show by adding new ½ mile section filled with exciting new scenes and a million more lights. Because our rides are an outdoor cold weather experience often booked by families with young children and/or elderly family members, we decided to keep the rides to the same length of time as in the past.

This means the bonus to riding the train or wagon is that after your ride is over, you’ll be allowed to drive back through the show again before you leave so you can experience all the magic and wonder of the new section!
